Also known as Henry. Born circa 1862 in Ōtaki to Inia Tuhata (Ngāti Kaitangata, Ngāti Tupawhenua, Mitiwai) and Mere Nicoll (Ngāti Toa). Married to Hariroa Rahera Hari (née Dix), father of Rena Ellen Daymond. Lived at Chatham Islands, in 1919 leased land known as Rangatira Island to Thomas Patrick McClurg. Known to have lived at Ōtaihanga, Waikanae and Ōtaki. Died 7 July 1957 at 95 years, buried at Karori Cemetery, Wellington.
