Holdsworth, Alice Mabel, 1878-1963

Teacher and artist. Born Cheshire, 31 December 1878. Quaker and clerk of the Australia and New Zealand Committee of Friends in 1936, 1939 and 1941-1947. Miss Holdsworth taught at the Friends School, Wanganui for six months in 1937-1938, while the headmaster, Arthur Douglass, took leave. She did watercolour landscapes and plant and flower drawings.
