Born at Taieri Mouth, the son of John James Adams who came to Otago, New Zealand in 1848. Judge of the Supreme Court, Fendalton, Christchurch 1921-1933. Interested in social movements, especially the Temperance Movement. Married Margaret Boyd. See DNZB / Scholefield (Vol 1, p4)
