Beere, Estelle Girda, 1875-1959

New Zealand dance teacher. Beere was born in Whanganui on 23 July 1875, the daughter of Edward Holroyd Beere and Mary Brewer. Was a teacher of dance, including ballet, at her own studio in Hill Street, Wellington, and at various Wellington schools. Was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 1958. Died in Wellington on 23 September 1959.
