Description: The first few photographs are of a small construction at an unidentified location, May to December 1969, taken by an unidentified photographer. The rest are of the site of the Lion Tavern, more commonly known as the Thorndon Tavern, corner of Molesworth and Pipitea Streets, and then a bird's-eye view of the construction site and also the area of Thorndon towards the harbour and Khandallah, January 1970 to December 1971, by Photocraft Studios and Format Publishers. Description: The first two images were taken in Tinakori Road, the sign for the dress shop 'Memsahib' visible on the right. Frames 3 and 4 show the entrance to a pub (probably the Thorndon Tavern in Molesworth Street), and three people having a drink inside (frame 5). Frames 6 to 12 show a group of small children in the entranceway to a block of flats in Vivian Street, with several showing the children climbing up stairs, or sliding down the railing, leading into the apartments.
