The Mental Defectives Bill (propounded by Hon J A Young) is mentioned, because it was being discussed in New Zealand at the time. The picture is "the result of the lifelong work of Drs William and Mayo of the Mayo Clinic, Chicago". ... "For the salvation of our race and the health and happiness of every individual we must stop at its source the pollution of the blood stream of the nation by passing sane eugenic laws that would prevent marriage among the unfit" ...
