Contains mixed personal and business correspondence sent and received by C K Stead from 1984 to 1985. Includes several letters of congratulations to Stead for his CBE award in the 1985 New Years Honours. Includes correspondence from Kay Stead. Other documents include poems by R D Lancaster, Fiona Kidman, and Susan Allpress; and two advertisements for a talk by Stead held by the New Zealand Book Council and Auckland CIty Art Gallery.

Arrangement: Papers in the this folder were originally bound with a binder clip. Notes at the front of the papers read:

- "1984-85. 31 sheets of Curnow material removed, also 2 Janet Frame items. 20/11/2018 I think I've been through all of this for the memoir."
