An album containing photographs and other material related to Betty Curnow’s art and life mostly from the 1940s to early 2000s. Includes handwritten notes, photographs of portraits of Curnow by Rita Angus and Louise Henderson, photographs of Curnow's art, and a booklet ‘Louise Henderson: the cubist years, 1946-1958’. Also includes photographs of “Betty Le Cren aged 2 years“ (1913) and at 18 years (1929); Rex Fairburn on a visit to Christchurch circa 1947; and the wedding party for Betty and Allen Curnow in 1936.

Arrangement: Arrived at the Library in a transit box along with one other photograph album and an envelope with annotations including “BC 5-9”. Several pieces of cotton fabric were in a plastic bag and filed in the first page of the album.

Provenance: This material was collected and created by Betty Curnow until her death in 2005. In the possession of her sons Tim and Wystan Curnow after that time.
Transfers: The cotton fabric is at Library reference Objects-1363..
Processing information: The cotton fabric was stored separately for conservation reasons.
