A board leans up against a brick wall with the heading “News – Ford Pardons Tokyo Rose”. Two men have turned to read it, both wearing shirts and shorts, one with a hat that says “RSA”. One man is commenting “There’s some talk that Muldoon may now pardon Brian Edwards”. Refers to United States of America President Gerald Ford pardoning Iva D'Aquino (also known as “Tokyo Rose”) for treason whilst being a broadcaster in Japan during World War Two. Also refers to television presenter Brian Edwards who was known for pushing the boundaries.
