Description

Photograph taken an unidentified photographer, possibly between 1910 and 1939. The karetao, or wooden puppet, is photographed standing against a white backdrop. Annotation on the print and reverse reads "NO NEG [negative]; Karatao, Given to Lord Ranfurly by Tuhoe 1903(?) - see Best 'Games and Pastimes of the Maori' p171(?)".
