Description: Contains various photographs of Hazel Martin, including her dancing, and her wedding photos taken at Spencer Digby Studios. Also contains one photo from a dance recital hosted by Martin's dance studio, of a student. Title supplied by Library. Arrangement: Material was delivered to the Library inside a transit box labelled "Hazel Martin", found loose in the box, and inside an envelope labelled "Hazel Martin 6 pix [sic]", except for the large Spencer Digby Photo Studio prints. Large prints were delivered separately from the box, along with two more over-sized prints which were inside an envelope labelled "Hazel". Quantity: 12 b&w original photographic print(s). 2 colour original photographic print(s). Processing information: Photos were removed from their respective housing for storage and preservation reasons, and original housing was not retained by Library. Where applicable, the original housing has been labelled on acid-free paper and placed around photographs. Due to their size, the Spencer Digby Studio portraits do not fit inside archival plastic.

Description: Includes programmes and posters for events featuring Hazel Martin and her pupils, material relating to the teaching and examination of pupils, various syllabi for different dance styles, and bookkeeping material. Also includes newspaper clippings featuring Martin's death notices, bulletins from the British Ballet Organisation, Martin's teaching notebooks, and instruction dance books published by Edouard Espinosa and Zelia Raye. Arrangement: Material was delivered to the Library inside a plastic bag labelled "Hazel Martin", which was inside a transit box also labelled "Hazel Martin". There was also a small amount of material delivered inside the plastic bag, inside a smaller plastic zip-lock bag. Some material was also delivered separately from the transit box, inside a brown manilla envelope labelled "Hazel Martin M+K". Quantity: 1 box(es) containing four folders, four hard cover books, and one small stack of soft cover booklets. Transfers: Material removed from folder is located at Library reference MSI-Papers-12956.. Processing information: Material was separated for reasons of storage and preservation. Material delivered in the brown manilla folder has been removed and stored in folder labelled "MS-Papers-12956-1, to separate it from material originally housed inside the transit box. It has also been noted accordingly on the new housing. Material that is housed between two pieces of acid-free card and tied together with string was originally housed inside the small plastic zip-lock bag. It has been housed this way for storage and preservation purposes. All other material in box was delivered to the Library inside the plastic bag, which was housed inside the transit box.

Processing information: Photos have been removed from original album for storage and preservation reasons, and have been reassembled in archival photographic slips to reflect original order.
