Photographic prints mounted to form a panoramic view of Thorndon as seen from the end of a wharf. The original photographs were taken in 1866 by William Henry Whitmore Davis. The creator of the copy prints and assemblage is unknown, compiled circa 1920s. Seventy numbers have been included on the prints, which correspond with a list of businesses and dwellings on recto of the mount:
