Photographs relating to the Canterbury earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 taken by Ross Becker on 11 November 2011 showing earthquake damage to buildings and demolition in the Red Zone in Christchurch City centre.
Named buildings featured include: Plunket House, the Oxford on Avon pub, Hotel Copthorne, Hotel Grand Chancellor, New Excelsior Backpackers (showing its bracing to shipping containers), 132-138 Lichfield Street, Bismarck House 140 Lichfield Street, IBIS House, 128 Manchester Street, 164 High Street, Triangle Chambers, Isaac Theatre Royal, Warner's Hotel, Christchurch Cathedral, State Theatre (DF Souvenirs), New Press building, PriceWaterhousecoopers, BNZ, Highlight House, and National Bank.
Locations include Cathedral Square, Bedford Row, Chancery Lane, Gasson Street, Colombo Street.
Closer views show the nibbler excavator at work, a Fulton Hogan "Authorised Personnel" sign, gas bottles, and the salvaged windows from Warner's Hotel.
