- Description
Postcard showing a broad green leaf positioned between maps of Great Britain at top left, and Australia and New Zealand at lower right. The countries are coloured in gilt and are linked by gilt chains. Stuck to the centre of the leaf is a metal bas-relief kookaburra. A verse at lower left reads: "Greetings sincere I send, and true / To let you know I am thinking of you; / I wish you all you wish yourself, / Plenty of love and the best of health, / And LAUGHING JACK will my message take, / With all that is best for "OLD TIMES SAKE".
The card was sent to Dr Arpad Gerster in New York, from Dr Thomas Fras [...] of Sydney.
