Postcard to Mrs E Bowater, 52 Adelaide St, Petone, Wellington, NZ shows a sepia photographic print of a large group of New Zealand soldiers in a block group beside a row of six empty open-topped railway trucks. The verso has a CENSORED stamp, and a handwritten note "*On active service".
Troopship no. 56 was the 'Maunganui', carrying 14th Reinforcements, 8th/5th NZRB, 4th Maori Contingent (Information from http://navymuseum.co.nz/ accessed 10 December 2019)
