Binding: gold tooled calf boards, rebacked with modern calf, blind tooled and gold tooled; date incorrectly given as "1739" in rebacked lower spine compartment. Upper text edge severely cut down, some foxing and worming. Provenance: ms. leaf describing provenance of the book in hand of John Jones 'This book was once the property of that elegant Poet David Samwell ...
