Poster shows an illustration by R Mabin, of the 'Wahine' Lyttelton-Wellington ferry. The name 'Wahine' is painted near the top of the hull. Below the illustration are four photographs: Unitised cargo being unloaded from a truck on the wharf; the T.E.V. 'Maori' at a wharf; a 2-bed cabin with facilities; and a corner of the lounge. At lower left is the flag of the Union Steam Ship Company.
