Bound Ethiopian manuscript volume written in the ancient South Semitic Ge'ez script in single columns of 14 lines on 39 blind ruled vellum leaves in red and black ink.
Illustrated with full-page miniature paintings on the themes of:
- St George and the Dragon (folio 2)
- Virgin and Child, flanked by two saints (folio 8)
- Christ on the cross, the Virgin on his left and St John on his right (folio 27)
- St Michael the Archangel surrounded by four saints (folio 39)
Red goatskin leather binding with decorative blind-tooling over wooden boards, and all edges blackened.
