Scrapbook titled "Annals of No 1 Platoon, A Coy, 1st Batt, 1st Wgtn Rgmt, CMO, Khandallah Platoon". Compiled by Ian Thomas Galloway prior to his transfer to the New Zealand Scottish Rifles in December 1940, the item includes lists of platoon members and their service, typescript accounts of the formation of the platoon, newspaper cuttings of their activities and training schedules, circulars and special routine orders, invitations and programmes for Wellington Regimental Ball for 1939, awards and presentations of trophies,119 captioned photographs, the lyrics to a song "Our S.M.", and a personal letter from Captain C N Watson. Also included is a newspaper extract from the 'Dominion' newspaper for 2 November 1937 showing pictures of a training exercise of the 1st Battalion, Wellington Regiment, at Baring Head.
