Collection comprises records relating to the management of the Cornwall family farm at Tatuanui (Waikato). Includes day books, registers, account books and some loose documents and invoices. Some items identified as belonging to James Cornwall. One wages book includes New Zealand unemployment relief and social security stamps. Also includes a coachbuilder's accounts book and a ledger of a creamery at Oringi (Manawatu) which was managed by James Cornwall.

Description: Ledger showing named accounts, organised by year and name of account holder (perhaps shareholders?). The Ledger is for a creamery at Oringi which J W Cornwall managed from ca 1905, and was still managing at least until 1908. Expenses listed toward the end of the ledger include working, wages, factory improvements, general. The Creamery began making butter around 1908, and accounts also appear for that product for the years 1908/1909-1910/1911. Accounts which appear to be related to the family farm, and not the creamery, include accounts for the house, shares, livestock, plant expenditure and a table of names and yield of a herd of the 1913/1914 season. These accounts appear to be made after Cornwall left the employ of the Crcamery. Quantity: 1 volume(s).
