Description

Numbers of people are seen outside, at Waitangi during a Māori land protest. Three older Māori, two men and a woman, are on a seat under trees (frames 1 & 2). Two of them have been identified as Meremere Petricevich (in the centre) and Walter (Sonny) Petricevich (on the right). Other scenes show people in the Waitangi grounds, and three small boys paddling along the water's edge across the road from Te Tii Marae (frames 6 to 10). Several people are perched on a grassy slope with a carved wharenui partially visible in the background (frames 11 & 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
