All images taken in the Northland area, at Te Tii Marae, Waitangi, Te Karuwha Parade, Paihia at a major gathering, perhaps in preparation for 1981 Waitangi Day. Ans Westra has focused on several young Māori men in close-up views (frames 1 to 7); an older Māori woman is seen close-up in frame 9; and women are working at stalls of produce with kete (woven flax baskets) (frames 10 to 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
