All images taken in the Northland area, at Te Tii Marae, Waitangi, Te Karuwha Parade, Paihia at a major gathering, perhaps in preparation for 1981 Waitangi Day. Most of the images show Māori women, some at tables with food or items for food preparation, others walking with children. A pākehā man is seen behind a Māori woman (frame 3), and a pākehā girl is seen in frame 5. Close-up views of Māori men are seen in frames 9 to 11). An unadorned wharenui is seen in the background (frames 8 & 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
