Description

All images show people during demonstrations against the Springbok Tour on a march up Molesworth Street, Wellington. In frame 1 Ans Westra has focused on two Māori men on the march, one wearing a peaked cap; men, women and children are seen with the Tinakori Hill in the background (frame 2); a line of policemen is blocking access to the motorway on-ramp on the corner of Molesworth Street (frames 3 & 5) so a huge crowd of protesters is then seen heading further up Molesworth Street (frames 4 & 5), some of the people carrying billowing flags. A couple is seen doing up the jacket and hood on their small child, with several policemen standing by Hellaby's (Hellaby Meat Ltd.) in the background (frames 6 to 9). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
