Description

All images show anti-tour protesters and spectators in Wellington. They were all taken in the Newtown area, with police and protesters lined up in rows. The policemen are opposing the protesters, the two groups lined up in opposition (frames 1 to 7, 11 & 12). One group is carrying a large flag/banner with the word "Amandla" (Power) (frame 5). A huge group of protesters is seen massed in a street with policemen on the road in front, and with individual police officers positioned outside each house up the street behind. Two young Māori men are standing in a gateway watching (frames 8 to 10). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
