- Description
Frames 1 to 7 were taken after a ceremony at the Pipitea Marae in Wellington. Frames 1 & 2 show a young Māori man greeting two young women who are wearing traditional clothing including cloaks (a korowai on the right) and headbands (tipare); a man is crouching down consoling a small girl (frames 3 & 4); three children are playing on the stones of the walkway (frame 5); a small girl is kissing her toddler sister [?], and cuddling the baby on her lap (frame 7). Frames 8 to 12 show several children in the area around the magnolia trees in the Wellington Botanic Garden. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
