- Description
All images taken in April 1981 showing various groups welcoming Prince Charles to the Waitangirua Mall in Porirua. All frames show a large crowd of mostly women and children awaiting his arrrival behind barricades, with the back viwe of a policeman standing in front of the barricade (frame 7). Crowds of school children are behind the rope barricade, with a Māopri man singing & playing his guitar in the walkway in front of the rope (frames 7, 10 & 11). In frame 12 a young Māori man is standing on a high wall, shouting out, possibly in protest at Prince Charles' visit. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified.
