- Description
All images were taken at the centennial celebrations of whare nui Ngā Tau e Waru at Te Oreore Marae, Masterton, on 22 March 1981. All images are close-up views of men and women at the celebrations, many greeting and chatting together. In some scenes they are viewing a display of the early origins of the meeting house in the entrance foyer, with parts of the carved whakawae (door jamb) and pare (lintel) visible. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
