- Description
All images were taken at the centennial celebrations of whare nui Ngā Tau e Waru at Te Ore Ore marae, Masterton, on 22 March 1981. Ans Westra has focused on individuals and groups attending the celebrations. A group of young men and boys are on a bench seat outside (frame 1); a woman wearing sunglasses is also on a seat outside (frame 2); and in frames 3 to 12 she focuses on a young woman with her small daughter asleep on her lap. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
