Scenes at the Avondale Racecourse at the New Zealand Polynesian Festival, in February 1981. Two Māori women are looking at garments in boxes on a table with people seen higher up in the grandstand behind (frames 1 to 3); all the following images are close-up views, mostly of women and children, in the grandstand (frames 4 to 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
