Scenes at Te Tii Marae, Waitangi, on Waitangi Day 1981. Dame Whina Cooper is seen in frame one with three other women and a child (possibly five generations). A man and woman with a baby in a pram are standing by a bus (frame 2); there are close-up views of one man and then others with him standing at the foot of Te Tii memorial (frames 2 to 11); three older women are sitting on a bench seat, all with woven straw hats (frame 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
