All images show Māori women and children, in the Ruatoria area. Two older women (one wearing a straw hat) are sitting at a picnic table in the shade of a tree (frames 1 to 6); a young boy holding an icecream is helping a toddler down a step from a dairy (frame 7); a woman with three children (one in a pushchair), is standing outside the dairy; and young children are seen in an open air swimming pool, at Ngata Memorial College, Ruatoria (frames 8 to 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
