Description

All images taken outside, possibly on a marae in the East Cape, Gisborne area. All the images were taken outside. Ans Westra focusses on an older woman (kuia) (frames 1, 4 and 7 to 9). She is wearing one neckscarf (frames 1, 4 & 5), and a second scarf with a slide (frames 8 & 9) which was being worn by a young girl in frame 4. A woman is sitting on the bonnet of a car with two small children by her (frames 2 & 3); Two small children are peeping around a doorway; a young man has a large container on the ground and is using a scrubbing brush (frames 10 & 11); and a young woman is standing in a field with a car in the background. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
