- Description
All frames show people who are attending an event, possibly a poukai (Kīngitanga ceremony), at Tūrangawaewae (Identified from previous images at AW-1998 showing part of the wharenui). A small girl is sitting on the bonnet of a car beside plates of food and a couple of bottles of drink, with several people enjoying the food (frames 2, 3 & 5 to 7). Two women are standing under an umbrella (frame 4); and men and women wearing jackets over ceremonial costumes are seen in frames 9 to 12. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
