- Description
All images show Māori men, women and children possibly at a poukai (Kīngitanga ceremony) at Tūrangawaewae (Identified from previous images at AW-1998 showing part of the wharenui). Many of the images show women playing netball on a court. There has been rain with water still visible on the ground. Frames 3 to 8 show women watching the game or standing chatting. A man and woman are seen in a kitchen (frame 10), she kneading dough in a large bowl with a container of Cerebos salt beside her. She is also seen in frames 11 & 12 rolling out the dough. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
