- Description
All frames taken at the opening of the Pipitea Marae on 31st May 1980. They were taken in the porch outside the wharenui after the formal ceremonies were over. Frames 1 to 9 & 11 show small groups of people standing in the porch of the wharenui at the end of the celebrations. A woman who is in the area in front of the wharenui, walking towards the building, appears to be calling out (frame 10). Carvings around the door are seen in frames 3 to 7 & 11 & 12. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
