- Description
All frames taken at the opening of the Pipitea Marae on 31st May 1980. They were taken inside and outside the wharenui after the formal ceremonies were over. Frames 1 to 5 show a family with a toddler sitting in his father's lap and the mother sitting alongside, and in frames 6 and 7 Ans Westra shows another family with an older boy. A young boy is squatting beside a pushchair with a large laden shopping bag in it (frame 9), and men and women are standing in the porch of the wharenui (frames 10 to 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
