- Description
All frames taken at the opening of the Pipitea Marae on 31st May 1980. They were taken inside the wharenui after the formal ceremonies were over. Most are close-up views of individuals or small groups seated at tables with food and drinks. Three women are talking together (frame 2) with a group of young women wearing traditional clothing performing on a stage behind them. Several women are seated at tables, singing with hand actions (frames 6 to 9). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
