- Description
All frames taken at the opening of the Pipitea Marae on 31st May 1980. Frame one shows Sir Keith Holyoake (when he was Governor General) in a line of performers and dignitaries in front of the wharenui (frames 1 & 2); and frames 3 to 12 are close-up views of indviduals and small groups. One woman wearing a large bone hei tiki has a moko kauwae on her chin (frames 6 to 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
