All frames taken at the opening of the Pipitea Marae on 31st May 1980. They show close-up views of Māori attending the opening. One woman wearing a dark top, bone carving pendant and black headdress, identified as Alice Poutini, is seen in frame 1; another woman has been identified as Weheora Wallace (seen in frames 2 to 3, and 6 to 11). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
