- Description
Most images taken in Thorndon showing a group of Māori marching up Hill Street, past Parliament, with their arrival at an unidentified location near a school. A large sign "Te Roopu Rongopai. March for Mana 1980" is being carried by two people (frames 1 to 3, 11 & 12). A woman pushing a child in a pushchair is amongst the crowd (frame 6), and a pākehā man (identified as David Lowe) is standing by a motorbike parked on the side of the road with a large sign that reads "Sin Bin. Education Petition Parliament" (frame 4). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
