All scenes taken the day after the opening of urban pan-tribal marae, Glen Eden, Auckland on 19th April 1980. Most show groups moving away from a large marquee; some carrying bags and suitcases; a young woman sitting on a suitcase by a pile of luggage with cars, a truck, and portaloos visible in the background (frames 6 to 8); frames 9 & 10 show an older woman leading an action song (waiata ā ringa); and a young person is playing a guitar while standing outside a bus (frames 11 & 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
