- Description
All scenes taken during the opening of urban pan-tribal marae, Glen Eden, Auckland on 19th April 1980. Most were taken outside with people chatting and relaxing after the feast. Several men wearing piupiu (flax skirts) and tapeka (sash or bandolier), and women wearing piupiu (flax skirts), pari (bodice) and tipare (head band) are standing, possibly waiting to perform, with one man playing a guitar. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
