All scenes taken during the opening of urban pan-tribal marae, Glen Eden, Auckland on 19th April 1980. Most were taken outside with people relaxing after the feast. Several young people are seated on a log in the sun (frames 2 to 5); Matiu Rata is talking to a woman wearing an apron (frame 6); a group is enjoying food from a large platter on a table outside, with the marquee seen in the background (frames 8 to 11); and three young men are lounging against a wall (frame 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
