All scenes taken during the opening of urban pan-tribal marae, Glen Eden, Auckland on 19th April 1980. Views of men involved in organising the hangi are seen, with crates of food in the pits (frames 1 to 7); various scenes with a large marquee in the background (frames 9 & 11); and people seated inside with tables laden with food and drink. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
