Description

All scenes show Māori men and women attending an event at Parliament. The images were taken inside the Banquet Hall of the Executive Wing at the Beehive, showing men and women. In some scenes they are seated in the Hall listening to speeches; talking in groups; or singing (frames 8 to 10). Two kaumata are talking together, one holding carved tokotoko (frames 3 to 5). Robert Muldoon is standing behind a dais with four other men, one of whom has been identified as Chris Finlayson (standing slightly behind on the right of Muldoon, frame 11). Unless otherwise stated all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
