Māori attending an event at Parliament Buildings, Wellington

All scenes show Māori men and women attending an event at Parliament. The images were taken inside the Banquet Hall of the Executive Wing at the Beehive, showing men and women seated in the Hall, holding platters of food while listening to speeches (frames 1 to 5). In frame 2 the man on the left has been identified as Paraone Reweti. Other scenes show young women dancing, wearing pari (bodices) with piupiu (flax skirts), and an older woman joining them (frame 6); people singing and dancing (frames 7 & 8); and the young women in Māori costumes sitting with a row of young women behind wearing another Polynesian style of clothing (frame 10).
