Description

All views taken in the Queen Street area, Auckland. Frames 1 to 3 show a young Māori womanholding a flax kete, smoking a cigarette; several people are sitting on a bench seat outside a dairy milk bar (frames 4 & 5); a young man with three children is seen in frames 6 to 8, first on the footpath outside "The Equitable Permanent Building Society", then waiting to cross the road, and finally they are seen crossing the road towards the Civic Theatre (frame 8). Two people are crossing Queen Street (frame 9); and a Māori woman (wearing a wide-brimmed hat), and a Māori man (wearing a suit and tie) are seen sitting on a bench seat. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
