- Description
Frames 1 to 4 show street theatre in the Lower Queen Street area in Auckland performed by two men. One has long hair and a beard, and is wearing white shorts over long black trousers, a military jacket and top hat. He is seen in frame 3 & 4. Another man in costume, also with a beard, is wearing a white jacket with a label reading "Saturday" on the pocket, and a white pith helmet with the label "Sunday" on the front (frames 1 to 4). The South Pacific Hotel is seen in the background. Frames 5 & 6 show two separate people sitting on bench seats in the same area. Three women are seen lounging outside a doorway in an unidentified location (frames 7 to 12). They are joined by a man and another woman in frames 11 & 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
