Frames 1 to 3 show two men on the steps of a large building in Lower Queen Street, Auckland, possibly an insurance building. The following 9 frames were taken looking down Lower Queen Street with the Ferry Building in the background. They show street theatre performed by a man wearing white shorts over dark trousers, a military jacket, and top hat. He is standing beside a collection including items bearing the Union Jack (frames 4, 6 to 10), seen playing a bugle (frame 10), and wearing a large mask with the words "The Earl" at the bottom (frames 11 & 12). The Auckland Chief Post Office Building is in the background (frames 6 to 8). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
